1. What Jobbly is

Jobbly is a Chrome browser extension that helps you fill out job applications. It detects application forms on supported job sites, fills in information from a profile you create, and uses AI to draft answers to open-ended screening questions. You always review answers before submitting — Jobbly never submits an application on your behalf.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide directly:

• Contact details (name, email, phone, address)
• Resume and cover letter files
• Work history, education, skills, and eligibility information (e.g. work rights, licences)
• Job preferences and saved answers to common application questions
• An optional profile picture

Information created automatically as you use Jobbly:

• A record of job applications the extension has seen and, separately, which ones you've actually submitted (used only to show you your own application history)
• Basic usage data needed to enforce daily AI answer limits on paid plans

Payment information: If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is handled entirely by Stripe, our payment processor. Jobbly never receives or stores your card details — Stripe shares back only what's needed to manage your subscription (plan, status, renewal date).

3. How your information is stored

By default, everything you enter into Jobbly stays local to your own browser — nothing is sent anywhere unless you create an account.

If you create an account, your profile, resume, saved answers, and application history sync to our cloud database (provided by Supabase) so they're available across your devices. Resume and cover letter files are stored in encrypted cloud storage, access-controlled so only you can retrieve your own files.

4. How your information is used

• To fill out job application forms on your behalf, with your review before submission
• To generate AI-written answers to screening questions — this involves sending the relevant job description and relevant parts of your profile to our AI provider (Groq) to generate a suggested answer. This happens per-question, only when you're actively using the extension on a job application page.
• To manage your account, sync your data across devices, and process subscription payments
• To enforce the daily usage limits tied to your plan
• To improve Jobbly's reliability (e.g. understanding which job sites need better support)

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

5. Who we share information with

We share information only with the service providers that make Jobbly work, and only what's needed for them to do their job:

• Supabase — authentication, database, and file storage
• Stripe — payment processing for paid plans
• Groq — AI processing to generate answers to application questions

We do not share your information with data brokers, advertisers, or any other third party.

6. Your choices and rights

• Use Jobbly without an account. Everything works locally in your browser; nothing syncs to our servers unless you sign up.
• Access and correct your data any time from within the Jobbly dashboard.
• Delete your resume or profile picture individually at any time from the dashboard.
• Delete your account entirely by contacting us at hello@jobbly.au — we'll remove your account and associated data, generally within [X] business days.
• Cancel your subscription at any time from the Billing section of the dashboard; you keep access through the period you've already paid for.

7. Data retention

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data, with the exception of records we're legally required to keep (e.g. for tax or payment compliance) and anonymized feedback you may have submitted, which is retained without any identifying information attached.

8. Security

Resume and profile data is access-controlled so that only you (and, narrowly, our service providers acting on our behalf) can access it. Payment details are handled entirely by Stripe and never touch our own systems. No method of storing or transmitting data is 100% secure, but we take reasonable, industry-standard measures to protect your information.

9. Children's privacy

Jobbly is not directed at, and should not be used by, anyone under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

10. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the date at the top and, where required by law, notify you directly.
